I am a creative and versatile media and communications specialist skilled in designing and delivering
impactful communications strategies that leverage on media networks, community engagement and
content creation. I have a track record in successfully delivering communications outputs and building key
stakeholder networks in a fast paced, challenging humanitarian and development focused international
organisation. I am an experienced writer, editor, trainer and mentor proficient in copy writing, news and
feature writing, public speaking, community engagement, crisis communications and production of digital
and social media assets that support strategic communications objectives and meet the information needs
of communities and humanitarian actors.

- Successfully organised online and offline events and forums to bring together media and humanitarian actors in view of strengthening media and humanitarian health responses. - Played a leading role in networking and developing collaborative relationships between Internews Zimbabwe and various stakeholders. - Supported the content creation team in identifying and connecting with relevant experts within humanitarian agencies to ensure production of high-quality content outputs.
- Improved media coverage of COVID-19 and health related issues through creating and managing a peer to peer network of over 130 journalists supported through trainings, fellowships, story grants, and mentoring activities. - Enabled improved access to fact checked and reliable health information amongst journalists, humanitarian actors and key targeted communities through creation and distribution of over 100 multimedia resources including bulletins, fact-sheets, reports and podcasts reaching of 100 000 individuals. - Strengthened media relations capacity of 30 humanitarian organisations through developing and implementing a media relations capacity building programme aimed at improving CSO-Media relations.
- Led in the design and implementation of the organisation’s communication strategy that contributed to the realisation of over US$50 000 worth of donations leading to the reopening of Ekusileni Hospital in Bulawayo. - Coordinated a community engagement and publicity campaign comprising a series of weeklyCOVID19 related radio broadcasts in partnership with a Bulawayo based radio station. - Sourced a COVID19 communications grant that led to the production of a 10 series podcast, a three-part webinar series and a COVID19 reporting training and mentoring programme for 12 journalists in Bulawayo.
